In June 2024 the team from Health Squad were invited to host an awareness stall at Appleby Horse Fair, as part of a GRT networking and health promotion event.
Appleby Horse Fair is an annual gathering of Gypsies and Travellers in the town of Appleby in Cumbria.
Alan Hodgson from Health Squad said: “We were able to raise awareness around the importance of healthcare in a marginalised community and supported 20 people to get a health check who otherwise wouldn’t have done so.”
“We have been invited to return in 2025, continuing to strengthen our ties to the GRT community.”
